With summer closely approaching, we're already scouring the internet for swimwear we plan on buying, and when we came across the brand Lisa Maree, we knew we hit gold. Specializing in all things crochet and beachwear, Lisa Maree absolutely needs to be on your radar. We wanted to learn all about the brand, and its founder of the same name. Lisa was kind enough to dish it all in the interview, below!

MEET LISA MAREE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Maree.Lisa has been dubbed the Aussie label to watch by virtue of signature crochet worked beachwear. Lisa brings Australia’s beach culture and the spirit of an Australian summer into her glamazonian aesthetic.Launched in 2009, the first collection favored crochet swimwear and day-to-night beachwear. She stole the spotlight at Australian Fashion Week and on the tail of this successful debut, she followed up with another runaway success and launch of her line in the USA at Miami Swim Fashion Week.

LISA MAREE TARGETS ASIA

Just two years after starting her own swimwear label Lisa Maree Boersma is planning her assault on Asia.The Bondi local and former model, who has collections throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA, said she now plans to expand her swim and ready to wear lines to Asia.Not content with signing her Lisa Maree label to online designer fashion store Net-A-Porter, in the UK and USA, Boersma said she wants to continue expanding.

SEASON OF GROWTH FOR LISA MAREE

Lisa Maree will target Queensland boutiques at Swimshow Australia as the label works to complement recent international gains with growth on home soil.The young swimwear label, founded and designed by Lisa Maree Boersma, will exhibit at Swimshow Australia on March 23 to 25 along with over 30 other brands. Boersma said her goal for the trade show was to grow the label's local distribution, “especially in Queensland”.“We will always have a strong focus on the local market, as the Australian beach culture is what inspired me to create the label,” Boersma said.

LISA MAREE TO MAKE STATESIDE DEBUT DURING MERCEDES-BENZ SWIM FASHION WEEK

Launched in 2009, by Bondi Beach local and model Lisa Maree Boersma, this fresh new label personifies Australia’s beach culture and the spirit of the summer. The range offers a playful array of sexy cut-away monokinis, triangle top bikinis and Boho chic cover-ups. Lisa Maree’s signature retro-crochets are seen throughout the collection; with the addition of tie-dyed prints, metallic threading, beading and pure silk kaftans.
